Während andere IT-Systeme meist von einer einzigen Organisation betrieben werden, nutzen DLT-Systeme diverse Mechanismen um die Kontrolle über das System unter unabhängigen Validatoren aufzuteilen. Bedeutet das, dass DLT-Systeme in jeder Hinsicht vertrauenswürdiger sind als „zentralisierte“ Alternativen?

Das Blockchain Research Lab arbeitet seit Juli 2019 am vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) geförderten Forschungsprojekt DiBiChain (Digitales Abbild von Kreislaufsystemen mittels einer Blockchain).
